Asset Accounting: day-based depreciation, invoiced disposals, takeover and income-tax book

November 04, 2026
Production Breaking changes

Asset Accounting now calculates cost and depreciation automatically, invoices disposals, and adds opening-balance takeover and an income-tax depreciation book.

Improvement

Asset acquisition value is now calculated by the system

The acquisition value on an asset is read-only and starts at 0. It is built up only from posted documents: asset receipts, non-PO vendor invoice lines coded to the asset, manual acquisitions, additional costs and takeovers. This fixes asset receipts doubling a typed value. A manual acquisition now updates the asset's value, and reversing it takes the value back off.

Finance Global Breaking change
Improvement

Salvage percentage and currency simplified on assets

Salvage % is set on the asset class, the depreciation key or the asset, and the salvage amount follows the cost. Currency is optional and defaults to the company currency.

Finance Global
Improvement

Depreciation now runs on actual days with automatic catch-up

Depreciation uses the actual 365 or 366 days of the year and includes the capitalisation day. Missed periods are caught up automatically, so the total is the same whatever the run frequency. The depreciation key's start-date and pro-rata rules now apply. Multi-Level bands are chosen for the period being run, and Fixed % uses cost less salvage. Run frequency is now a per-company setting, and a WDV rate helper is available on depreciation keys.

Finance Global
Improvement

Clearer capitalisation of assets under construction

The capitalisation screen says why Propose is unavailable. An asset created in a construction-in-progress class starts as Under Construction, and capitalisation moves it into the final class. Cost comes from PO lines, non-PO vendor invoices and expense reclassification.

Finance Global
New Feature

Asset disposals raise a customer invoice and can be reversed

A sale or scrap sale with proceeds now creates and posts a customer invoice together with the retirement. Depreciation is charged up to the day before disposal. Partial disposals retire a value, and quantity is optional. Indian companies get the s.18(6) CGST reversal. A posted disposal can be reversed, which reverses the journal and invoice and restores the asset. The asset register shows the disposal columns.

Finance Global
New Feature

Income-Tax Depreciation screen

A new statistical income-tax book works per block of assets. It handles opening values, the half rate for additions under 180 days, short-term capital gain under s.50, and Final and Reopen.

Finance Global
New Feature

Opening Balances (Takeover) screen for the asset register

You can load existing assets by template, validate the file and post it, then check a GL reconciliation. A file with a bad row is refused as a whole. It supports legacy SAP numbers, sub-numbers as sub-assets, mid-year depreciation to date and remaining life.

Finance Global
New Feature

More accounts and settings on asset classes

Asset classes now have separate Gain, Loss and Written-off accounts, an Asset Sale Clearing account, a tax-book salvage % and an Income-tax block. Construction-in-progress classes have a 'Settles Into' final class.

Colour x Size matrix on goods receipt, issue and transfer printouts

November 03, 2026
Production

Goods movement printouts now show material variants as a compact Colour x Size grid instead of one line per variant, and transfers show the destination storage location.

Improvement

Sizes appear in natural garment order

Sizes in the matrix follow the cutting-room size order, for example 1M, 3M, 3/6M and so on up to 2/3Y. Colours follow their display order. A variant with no colour or size still appears on the printout, labelled by its variant code.

Inventory Global
New Feature

Variants print as a Colour x Size matrix

Goods receipt, goods issue and transfer printouts now show variant lines as one summary row per material with a Colour x Size grid under it, including row and column totals. A transfer of 30 colours in 5 sizes now prints as one summary row and a grid instead of 150 rows. Different storage locations or units are never added into the same cell, and empty cells are left blank.

Inventory Global
New Feature

Transfer printouts show destination storage location

Transfer printouts now have a To SLoc column next to the source storage location. They are titled "Transfer Posting".

Colour and size grid for storage transfers and sales order goods issues

November 03, 2026
Production

Materials stocked by variant can now be transferred between storage locations and issued to sales orders by entering quantities in a colour × size grid.

Bug Fix

Posting date on goods movements is handled correctly

Posting dates entered on goods movement documents are now read correctly. An invalid date gives a clear error, and a blank date defaults to today.

Inventory Global
Improvement

Variant shown in source stock choices

The source stock list for a transfer now shows the variant code next to the bin, batch and quality status.

Inventory Global
New Feature

Colour × size grid for goods issue to sales orders

For variant materials on a sales order goods issue, you now enter the quantity to issue per colour and size in a grid instead of one row per variant. Each cell shows the sales order stock, and the quantity is drawn from the order's stock rows in first-in-first-out order.

Inventory Global
New Feature

Colour × size grid for storage transfers

When you transfer a material that is stocked by variant, you now enter quantities for each colour and size in a grid. Each cell shows the available stock, and you can choose the quality status and post all variants in one transfer.

Sales orders keep their approval on unrelated edits; merchandising alerts no longer time out

November 03, 2026
Production

Editing an approved sales order no longer sends it back to credit block, and merchandising alerts and PP sign-offs no longer hang when email can't be sent.

Bug Fix

Merchandising alerts and PP sign-off no longer time out when email is unavailable

When the email queue is unreachable, scanning for merchandising alerts or signing off a PP meeting no longer stalls the page for minutes. The in-app notification appears straight away, and the email is sent in the background.

CRM Global
Bug Fix

Approved orders no longer fall into credit block on unrelated edits

Changing something that doesn't affect an order's value, such as assigning a merchandiser, no longer moves an approved or in-process order that was never credit-checked back to Credit Block. The automatic credit check still runs on draft and pending orders, and whenever an edit changes the order value.

Reverse a Goods Receipt from Production

November 03, 2026
Production

A goods receipt entered in error against a production order can now be reversed, as a whole document or by chosen lines.

Bug Fix

Correct accounting for production receipt reversals

Reversing a production receipt used to debit finished goods stock and credit work in progress a second time. It now credits stock and debits work in progress back on the same accounts the receipt used, so a reversed receipt nets to zero.

Finance Global
Improvement

Posted Goods Receipts shown as a detailed table

Opening an order now shows its posted receipts in a table with quantity, who posted it, its status (Posted, Partly reversed, or Reversed by a document) and a Reverse button.

Inventory Global
Improvement

Clear reasons when a receipt cannot be reversed

A reversal is refused with the reason stated. Reasons include a cancelled order, goods no longer in stock, a re-weighment, a decided quality lot, or a date that is too early, in the future or in a closed period. A reason for the reversal is required.

Inventory Global
New Feature

Show completed orders on the receipt list

A new "Show completed orders" switch brings fully received production orders back into the Goods Receipt for Production Order list, so a wrong receipt on a completed order can still be found.

Inventory Global
New Feature

Reverse a Goods Receipt from Production

On Goods Receipt for Production Order and the Material Document List, a wrongly entered receipt can be reversed in full or by chosen lines, each for its full quantity. The dialog lists every line, explains why any line cannot be reversed, and asks for a reversal date (default: the receipt's posting date) and a reason. Users need the new Production Receipt Reversal role.

Inventory Global
New Feature

Production order quantities restored on reversal

A reversal gives back the order's delivered quantity and the produced quantity on its variant lines. A completed order re-opens as In Progress so the goods can be received again.

PO Import reads size-matrix order sheets; Variant Attributes no longer freezes

November 03, 2026
Production

Customer PO Import now reads garment order-entry sheets with sizes as columns, matches sizes like 2XL and 3XL correctly, and the Variant Attributes screen no longer freezes when adding a value to a large attribute.

Bug Fix

Add Value no longer freezes Variant Attributes

Opening the Add or Edit value dialog on a large attribute such as Colour no longer freezes the page. Long value lists are now paged at 50 rows, and Add Value and delete are disabled while a delete is running.

Inventory Global
Bug Fix

Material mapping no longer confuses styles sharing a description

A customer-material mapping saved under a different style code no longer decides a line that has its own style code. This matters when two styles share one description.

CRM Global
Bug Fix

Letter sizes match the correct variant

Sizes such as 2XL, 3XL and 4XL now match the right product variant during PO import. Previously 2XL could land on XL, and 3XL could tie with 4XL.

CRM Global
Improvement

Buyer name resolves to the customer chosen earlier

When a sheet names a brand such as Damensch, PO import now picks the customer you assigned to that name in an earlier import.

CRM Global
Improvement

Style shown per line and per-style summary in PO import

The Master Data and Create Order steps now show the style on each line. Create Order also adds a summary of lines, quantity and value for each style before the order is created.

CRM Global
New Feature

PO Import reads size-matrix order sheets without AI

Order-entry sheets with a header form above a style, colour and size grid are now read directly. Each filled size cell becomes one order line, and any mismatch between row totals or the sheet total is noted in the import log.

CRM Global
New Feature

OCN carried onto sales order lines

The OCN is taken from the file name (for example "ocn 10057.xlsx") and set on every sales order line created from the import.

POS refuses cash sales when stock cannot be issued

November 03, 2026
Production

A POS cash sale is now refused if its goods issue cannot be posted, so sales no longer complete without deducting stock.

Bug Fix

Cash sales no longer complete without a goods issue

If the goods issue for a POS cash sale cannot be posted, the sale is now refused with an error. Before, it could complete with a placeholder goods-issue number and no stock deducted.

Forex batch valuation and ticket activity fixes

November 03, 2026
Production

Batch mark-to-market valuation of forward contracts now works, and customer service tickets can be updated from background jobs.

Bug Fix

Ticket status and assignee changes from background jobs no longer fail

Changing a customer service ticket's status or assignee outside a normal user request, such as from a scheduled job, now saves correctly. The activity entry for the change is recorded against the ticket's last updater.

Other Global
Bug Fix

Batch mark-to-market valuation of forward contracts works again

Valuing forward contracts in a batch no longer fails when exchange rates are submitted. Rates are now handled to 6 decimal places, and rates for export contracts are inverted accurately.

Vendor Master: every vendor field now available in the Column Chooser

November 03, 2026
Production

The Vendor Master grid's Column Chooser now offers the full vendor record, so you can build and save your own layouts.

New Feature

More fields for Vendor Master pivot analysis

The pivot field list now includes payment term, GST registration type, GSTIN registry status, MSME category, RCM, TDS, payables account, city, state/region, country and bank.

Procurement Global
New Feature

Many more Vendor Master columns in the Column Chooser

The Vendor Master grid previously offered 11 columns. The Column Chooser now adds about 70 more, hidden by default. They cover general details, tax and GST, GST registry, MSME, accounting and TDS, default address, primary contact, payable bank account, record counts, and audit information. Your saved layouts are unchanged.

Procurement Global
Security Update

Bank account numbers masked in the vendor grid

The bank account number column shows only the last four digits, because the grid can be exported in bulk. The full number is still on the vendor form.

Task analytics fixes, sales surcharge pricing, and date-of-birth privacy in Table Explorer

November 03, 2026
Production

Task analytics exports and tables work again, per-unit surcharges are applied in sales pricing, and dates of birth are hidden in Table Explorer.

Bug Fix

Priority tasks list, export and dashboard table work again

The priority-tasks data feed, the CSV/Excel export and the task analytics dashboard table now load correctly instead of failing or showing an empty table.

Task Management Global
Bug Fix

Template performance figures no longer break the export

Average template duration is now calculated in a way the database supports, so the template-performance figures display and the analytics export completes.

Task Management Global
Bug Fix

Per-unit surcharge now applied when no pricing procedure is configured

A per-unit surcharge condition used to be silently ignored for companies without a configured pricing procedure. It is now included in the calculated price.

Other Global
Bug Fix

Sales order saves no longer fail when activity tracking can't be recorded

Automatic tracking of sales order status changes now records the order's own user when no one is logged in, such as in background jobs. A failure there no longer breaks the rest of the save.

CRM Global
Bug Fix

Cost versions and comparisons record who created them

Cost versions and cost comparisons created through the costing service are now stamped with the user who made them.

Finance Global
Security Update

Dates of birth hidden on every Table Explorer table

In line with the DPDP review, date of birth and birth year columns are now redacted in Table Explorer on all tables, including any added in future. HR users still see them on the HR screens.
